The climate change is affecting many of the earth's rainforest, the change in temperature is killing not only animals but the rainforest that feed us every day with their oxygen. Many of the rainforest learn how to adapt to the new climate but the ones that don't suffer in many different ways, two of which could be the rise in sea level, which could cause a flood in the coastal community, and a reduction of crop yields. This, of course, doesn't only affect the rainforest but many of the living things too. For instance, the golden orange prothonotary warbler has been coming from the Caribbean and South America to Richmond a day earlier, for almost two decades, due to local rise in temperature.
Climate has been increasing over the past a hundred and fifty years; some rainforests were able to adapt due to their adaptive capacity –the ability of a system to adjust in response to projected or actual changes in climate-, this reduces the negative impacts of climate change; yet it has been increasing drastically over the past two decades, this is due to the greenhouse has (GHG) emissions, and to the rainforests' sensitivity –degree to which a system will respond to a change in climatic conditions- and to their vulnerability –degree to which climate change harms or damages a system- which causes many animals to leave the rainforests for a certain period of time, or forever. For instance, due to the regional temperature increases that lift the level of the clouds, which dries out the cloud forest moisture, the golden toad and other amphibians and lizards declined the rainforest.
Believe it or not, climate is also dependant on the rainforest, if there is, by any change, de-forestation, there would be less oxygen production and less carbon dioxide absorption which could cause drastic climate change.
The clime and the rainforests are depending on us, they are crying for our help, yet most of us are ignoring it. One person can make a difference; help the rainforests today, help the world tomorrow.
